THEATRE-GOERS in Skegness are set to be treated to one of the world’s most-loved ballet’s next week.

The Nutcracker will tread the boards of the Embassy Theatre next Wednesday, November 2.

And this latest tour promises to be a “classic ballet for the whole family”

A spokesperson said: “This winter experience the magic of the much loved ballet classic.

“Delight your eyes as young talented artists of the State Ballet Academy of Minsk, bring to you a professional performance.

“Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet has for generations enchanted audiences with its spectacular performance of music and dance.

“It is based on the story ‘The Nutcracker and the King of Mice’ by E. T. A. Hoffman, which follows the adventures of a young girl, Marie, who is given a Nutcracker doll for Christmas, and enters a dreamlike land of magic where she soon discovers her Nutcracker prince and dances with beautiful snowflakes.

“Both children and adults cannot help but be captivated by Marie’s miraculous adventures.

“The ballet is brought to life by 45 young artists. With their hard-work and experience, it will prove to be an unforgettable performance.

“Their dedication to their dance will be admired by ballet lovers, while the simple story of the Nutcracker will captivate children.

“The fantastic set and beautiful costumes are also to be admired.

“Alongside this, the audience will be treated to the popular compositions of Tchaikovsky’s music.

“The score will include many favourites such as ‘The dance of the sugar plum fairy’ and many more,” they added.

The Nutcracker will be performed at 7.30pm on November 2.

Tickets cost £20 for adults, £19 for over 60s and £11 for children.
