An Evening of Dirty Dancing: The Tribute Show takes to the stage in Skegness this month.

The song and dance celebration of the smash hit movie soundtrack stops off at the Embassy Theatre as part of its fifth anniversary tour.

Musical theatre stalwart Julian Essex Spurrier leads the production having played numerous iconic leading roles in such shows as Saturday Night Fever, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Miss Saigon alongside Aimie Atkinson, the winner of the BBC Radio 2 Voice of Musical Theatre.

A high-energy emotional roller coaster of an evening with breathtaking choreography and buckets of nostalgia the show includes classic songs Big Girls Don’t Cry, Wipeout, Hungry Eyes and Oscar winning (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.

Executive producer Paul Spicer said: “The atmosphere is always electric. We totally encourage our audiences to sing and dance and immerse themselves in the summer of ‘63.

“This is a multi -award winning soundtrack steeped in nostalgia.”

The production is not affiliated with Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story on Stage.
