It’s back to the Late Sixties and the Seventies for the next dance at the Boston Gliderdrome on Friday, August 29, when Jive Talking will be presenting hits of the Bee Gees and Abba.
Both groups really do not need any introducing to pop fans as they were certainly ‘top of the pops’ for many years and their songs are still heard on the radio almost every day.
Jive Talking come with a big reputation for being one of the top tribute acts to the Bee Gees and are in big demand in this country and abroad. As for Abba – what can you say about a group who were put together for one show, Eurovision, and went on to dominate the world charts for many years?
DJ Steve Greenhough will once again be making sure things run smoothly on the night.
Tickets are now on sale, priced £15 each, and can be bought at the Gliderdrome in Spain Place on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday evenings after 7pm and on Wednesday noon to 3.30pm; Burgess, Thompson & Richardson, High Street 9am - 5pm; and Chris Cook Print, Main Ridge East, Boston, 9am - 5pm.
The next show after this will be Reach Out to Motown, featuring original Drifters singer Roy Hemmings on Friday, 26 September.
Following that will be the celebration evening for the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Starlight Rooms, when That’ll Be The Day will take to the stage on Friday, 31 October.
Tickets and more details of these two shows are to follow.
