A group of Lincolnshire musicians who performed together during the sixties have reformed in tribute to their favourite band from the era - The Shadows.
The Marvz will be recreating the unique instrumental sound behind such chart-topping classics as Apache, Wonderful Land and Foot Tapper at Spilsby Theatre show from 8pm on Saturday, May 11.
Frank Marvin’ fronts the band with an original 1962 salmon pink Stratocaster.
Dave Marvin is on rhythm guitar and vocals. Mickey and Peter are on Bass and Drums.
Peter, who is also known as the owner of AE Wildman and Sons Motorcycles, said: “This will be a good evening for all and also a chance to jive and rock ‘n’ roll. So get your dancing shoes on and enjoy the live sound of the golden years of rock ‘n’ roll.”
Though mainly a Shadows tribute act, the band will also perform a selection of other classics from the genre. Spilsby Theatre’s Bruce Knight will also be supporting the band.
Tickets cost £5.
