Fans of music from ‘the golden age of pop’ should book tickets now for the live concert The Solid Gold 70s Show - coming to Skegness in July.

The brand-new stage show features a multi-talented cast performing glamrock greats, disco hits, power ballads and party anthems.

From Sweet, T Rex, Queen, Elton John, 10CC, David Essex, Suzi Quatro, David Cassidy, ELO, The Carpenters, Osmonds, Bay City Rollers, ABBA and more.

Backed by a band whose members have performed with Mike Oldfield, Asia and Ultravox, the production boasts a ‘superb musical pedigree’, says show producer Michael Taylor.

“Take a step back to a time,” said Michael. “Back to when 7.30pm on a Thursday night could mean only one thing – TVs tuned into BBC1 and families gathered together to watch Top of the Pops.”

Audiences are invited to dress the part - platforms, flares, cat suits, tank tops and boob tubes.

If you have fond memories of Pans People and Eurovision, Luke Skywalker and Saturday Night Fever, this is the show for you.

The concert takes plact at the Embassy Theatre, on Saturday, July 25, from 7.30pm. Tickets £21 adults, £10 children. There is a special offer of £5 off a pair of top price tickets bought before July 1.
