BARRY Steele is set to put the Oomph back into the Big ‘O’ when he takes to the stage with his band for a Roy Orbison and Friends in Concert evening this Saturday.
The group will be performing Orbison’s biggest hits at the concert in the Embassy Theatre at 7.30pm on September 10.
The evening promises to deliver “a rollicking set”, including classics like ‘Only The Lonely’, ‘Ooby Dooby’, ‘Crying’ and ‘Blue Angel’, right through to Orbison’s later hits - ‘California Blue’ and ‘You Got It’ and, of course, The Travelling Wilburys.
Also performing on the stage during the evening will be tributes to Buddy Holly and Elvis Presley.
The Stage has described the show as “True identikit brilliance”.
Tickets cost £18.50 for adults, £17.50 for over 60s and £10 for children.
They are available from the Embassy Theatre box office on 0845 674 0505, online at www.embassytheatre.co.uk or by popping along to the theatre in person during normal opening hours.
