The National Trust has decided to further postpone the opening of Gunby Hall and Gardens for the 2015 season due to ground conditions in the car park.
The hall was orginally scheduled to open on February 14.
General manager Sara Blair-Manning said: “We were hoping to open again on 21 February but unfortunately we need to postpone opening until at least February 28. The ground in and around the car park is just too soft for vehicles to use. We are very sorry to disappoint our potential visitors.
“Plans are underway to build an all-weather car park for the site but in the short term we need to make these difficult decisions until the ground conditions improve.”
Nearby Lincolnshire National Trust properties Tattershall Castle and Belton House are open and look forward to welcoming visitors and opening times can be found at www.nationaltrust.org.uk.
