Preparations are under way for the annual Skegness SO Festival at the Hildreds Shopping Centre.

To mark the event, for the first time in over 20 million years dinosaurs will once again roam Skegness. Reggie the Raptor, a life-size 16ft by 10ft tall raptor dinosaur, will be at the Hildreds on Saturday, July 4 along with his keepers, a palaeontologist and an archaeologist.

Reggie will be introduced to visitors in an amazing show outside the front of the centre.

Centre manager Steve Andrews said: “This is an amazing opportunity to see a life-size dinosaur in Skegness and we are really looking forward to it. We just hope Reggie behaves and doesn’t cause too many problems for our visitors.”

There will be four shows at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm.
