A TATTOO convention will be making its first ever visit to Skegness, displaying the artistic talents of the best tattooists from across the UK and Europe.
Skegness Ink takes place at Grand Central on Sunday, August 21, in a bid to establish the town on the tattooing map.
A spokesperson said: “These events are hugely popular throughout the UK as tattoos are becoming more and more popular.
“The trend has increased in popularity partly due to TV programmes such as Miami Ink, LA Ink and London Ink, which show off the great workings inside a tattoo studio.
“This, as well as the artists showing what great artistic work can be put into a tattoo, has given people an interest and admiration in a true art form.”
Artists will be displaying their best work throughout the day, culminating in a tattoo competition, in which anyone can enter their own tattoos to be judged.
Visitors can admire the skills on show, take a look around the stalls selling jewellery, clothing and tattoo supplies and listen to the bands and DJs performing throughout the day.
The event starts at 11am and runs through to 8pm.
Tickets cost £5 for adults, £3 for under 18s, who must be accompanied by adults at all times.
