Lisa Jay Stage Institute students to perform in charity ‘danceathon’ this Sunday in Skegness

Dozens of dancers will be moving and grooving in aid of charity this Sunday during a special marathon length performance in Skegness.

The students and teachers from Lisa Jay Stage School are inviting audiences to come and watch their first ever ‘danceathon’ in Tower Gardens from 11am.

Around 30 dancers are expected to perform five separate routines from a variety of styles in a bid to raise sponsorship for Cancer Research.

Dance teacher Jessica Campbell says the event has arranged to celebrate the recent all-clear given to Colette Ford, a mother of one of the school’s students who had been diagnosed with the disease.

“Come and support us on Sunday, it’s for a really great cause and will be lots of fun too,” said Jessica,

The group are hoping to raise hundreds for the charity and will be inviting audiences to donate in collection buckets on the day.
