Anticipation is building in Chapel St Leonards ahead of this weekend’s annual carnival.
The event takes place mainly in the village centre, with the Village Green playing host to much of the action.
The Saturday will include such attractions as a children’s sandcastle competition, baby show, Zumba dancers, live music and a circus.
Sunday will feature a horticulture and craft show, a dog show (entries are still open), horse and carriage rides, more live music and dancers, as well as the Grand Parade.
A spokesman for organisers said: “The fabulous Grand Parade is bigger and better this year, with two marching bands, lots of floats and walkers and speciality entries.”
The route starts in Trunch Lane at noon and makes its way through South Road, past the village green, to end at The Phoenix Care Home, in Ancaster Avenue.
The fun begins at 10am each day.For more information about the event, visit www.cslcarnival.co.uk.
