Sleaford 2nds 217 for 5
Skegness 2nds 132 all out
Skegness 2nds suffered an 85-run defeat after being bowled out for 132 at Sleaford on Saturday.
The thorn in their side was Sleaford’s James Rickett, whose eight-wicket haul sealed their fate.
The Sleaford bowler finished with figures of eight for 25 off his 10.3 overs. And he had a hand in a ninth wicket, catching opener Dan Nuttall off the bowling of David Harrop.
Earlier Sleaford had set the seasiders a target of 218 with an unbeaten century from Paul Roberts the highlight.
Openers Nuttall (37) and Alistair Ainsworth (30) gave them a solid start in reply, but Skegness had no answer to the Rickett wicket machine.
On Saturday Skegness 2nds entertain Grantham at Richmond Drive (1.30pm start).
