Skegness 2nds slump to five-wicket defeat

SKEGNESS 2nds slumped to a five wicket defeat at the hands of Stamford Town on Saturday, in a match sponsored by Batemans Brewery.

The seasiders were put into bat by the high-riding visitors and were soon in trouble.

Zeeshan Saeed was the top Skegness scorer with 21 as Stamford’ Simon Prentice took five wickets for 18.

Steve O’Dare took three wickets for the home side, but opener Andrew Hulme carried his bat to see Stamford over the line for the loss of five wickets.

On Saturday Skegness 2nds travel to Spalding.
