EXCITEMENT is mounting at Richmond Drive after Skegness Cricket Club secured the signature of a second overseas player during their preparations for the 2012 season.
All-rounder Oliver Pringle, a UK passport holder from New Zealand, is a right arm seam bowler who has played second eleven cricket for Gloucestershire and Surrey.
The 19-year-old all-rounder is over in the UK to play for Notts 2nds but is available to play for Skegness at weekends.
He has also gained valuable experience in this country while playing Premier 1st XI cricket for Cornwall.
Along with American paceman Adrian Gordon, Pringle will be donning the whites of Skegness for Saturday’s (April 14) friendly at home to Lincoln-based Lindum.
The ECB Premier League season begins the following Saturday when last season’s runners-up Bourne are the visitors to Richmond Drive (12 noon start).
Bourne are expected to include former Skegness wicketkeeper Carl Wilson in their ranks.
