Fourteen members of Skegness Tri Club were competing at the sprint distance triathlon held at Woodhall Spa.
This was the last event in the East Midlands Sprint series, so all competitors were keen to do well and get a good overall placing in the series.
The water temperature of the outdoor pool at Jubliee Park was perfect for a quick 400m swim, followed by a 150m dash to the transition area to find the correct bike amongst 850 others.
The bike leg consisted of a 15-mile ride in breezy conditions over an undulating course.
After dismounting the bike and another dash to transition it was a quick change of shoes and straight onto the three-mile run.
This was when the ideal weather was much appreciated by the competitors.
