Red Lion took on Liberal Lads this week, with the Lads winning 7-3.
The openening set of singles ended up with Liberal taking them all to lead 4-0, new signing Simon Stainton (2x100,137, 140, 180) and Gordon McQuillan (4x100, 136, 2x140) doing the most damage.

Chris Simpson (3x4 x 100, 2x140) was the best that the Red Lion had to offer.
Ex Service 501s and Arctic Shrew Monkeys shared the honours with a 5-5 scoreline.
The away team stared the better with Shaun Drury (3x100) and Colin Lees (3x100, 121, 140 and 20 dart leg) taking the first two singles.
Lee Yates was next up for the Monkeys and despite 100, 125 and a 104 finish, he found Liam Simms (2x100) to good for him.
Gary Garton (2x100) beat Martin Bell to leave the first singles all square at 2-2.
The doubles were shared with Liam Simms and Gary Garton (2x100, 2x140) hitting a 19 dart pairs leg.
In the final singles, 501s’ Daniel Starkey hit 2x100, 121, 123,180 and a 21 darter, but found Martin Bell (100, 140, 180, 17 and 20 darts) too good for him.

This handicap competition is proving to be a problematic one for the higher league teams.
This week New Park Rangers took on new boys Ex Service Spitfires.
With Brad Martin, it was the Rangers who took the first singles, but the Spitfires had other ideas and reeled off the next eight legs.
Chris Butler (5x100, 125), Rick Seaman (2x100, 111, 123) and captain Jamie Cooper (3x100, 115, 123, 128 180) threw well before Rangers captain Graham Froud (2x100, 2x140) won the last leg, but it’s the Spitfires with one foot in the semi.
Rangers’ Brad Martin was in cracking form hitting 4x100, 123, 134, 135, 6x140, and 180.
