Division One

Marine Steelers took on Seaview lads, the Steelers winning 8-4 to remain in top spot.

There was a 180, 125 for Seaview’s Mick Peech and Steelers’ Sean Barker​ hit 125, 2x140 on his return. Kristian Thein​ (123, 135, 140), Daniel Starkey​ (140, 2x136) and Ian Chamberlain (174) were also on target.

Ex Service 501s suffered their second successive defeat, going down 7-5 to Arctic Shrew Monkeys, despite Gary Garton​ hitting 18 and 24-dart legs with 3x140s and Graham Fitton’s​ 123, 138, 140 and a 17-dart leg. Lee Yates hit a 16-darter and Colin Lees hit 2x121, 125, and 140.

At the bottom of the table, Barkham Arms continued their revival with an 8-4 win over Finnegans. Aide Betteridge (125, 139) did well in his singles win for Finnegans and Adam Lyal (121, 140) loked good for Barkham.

The in-house derby at the Ex Service between Cobras and Sports produced a glut of high scores and a 10-2 victory for the Sports. Pick of the scorers for Cobras were Ray Bettison (121, 140, 156) and Darrell Webb (122, 140). The Sports had (Pete Evans​ 121, 126, 180 and a 16-dart leg) and Steve Wolstenholme (120, 140, 180) on the mark.

Division Two

WMC Aces did a number on bottom team Welcome Hillbillies by beating them 12-0, aided by Mick Jones (120, 140) and Gareth Jowett​ (123, 180 and 104 finish).

Seaview Raiders lost 9-3 to Cricket Club, despite Raiders’ heavier scoring via Kevin West ​(139, 140), T. Mac (121, 141) and Steven Emsen​ (125, 135, 140).

Liberal Adams Family fought back to win 7-5 against Royal Oak, captain Roscoe Collins​ and Jim Plant getting the decisive win before moving into third spot, a point off the leaders.

Vine continued their resurgence with a comfortable 9-3 win over Liberal Us.

Ex Service C were replaced at the top by Welcome Anchors - the Anchors winning 10-2 with the help of Lee Dore (121, 140, 174).

l There are still tickets available for the Andy Smith Piebus on March 1 - as the professional oche ace prepares to tour the east coast.

Tickets cost £10 each and that includes the trip to four pubs, four exhibitions of darts with the Pieman, as well as being fed twice.

There will be a men’s and a ladies’ competition.

Registration will be at 7.30pm and entry costs £2.

A total of £150 has been added to men’s competition prize fund, while £50 has been added to ladies’.

A nine dart challenge is optional.
