Skegness Coasters running club members have been busy over the last couple of weekends, both in the county and further afield.
Martin Jessop took part in the testing seventh annual Outlaw Triathlon in Nottingham.
An event not for the faint-hearted, it includes a 2.4-mile swim and a 112-mile bike ride followed by a marathon.
There are transition breaks in between each activity to change and take on nutrition, but these are counted towards the total triathlon time.
Martin completed the swim in 1hr 22mins, the cycling in 7hr 26mins and the marathon run in 5hr 6mins for an overall time of 14hr 32mins.
“It was a thoroughly enjoyable day, even though it was quite challenging,” he said.
“I managed to keep a steady pace throughout so I didn’t burn out before the end.
“My family were fantastic – I got to see them cheering me on at several points on the course which was a great boost.
“Even though the event was pretty hard it wouldn’t put me off doing it again.”
