It has been an amazing year for Skegness & District’s Hilary Depper - who has completed 60 races in her 60th year.

She reached that milestone on Sunday when she competed in the Mablethorpe Half Marathon.

Hilary, who has been running for many years, has competed at all distances and levels, both in the UK and abroad, and regularly supports Lincolnshire races.

She has also taken part in Duathlons and Triathlons for Skegness Tri Club.

Some of her best achievements include marathons in Snowdonia, London and Seville and her longest race was running from the centre of Granada to the peak of the Sierra Nevada (Pico Veleta) on two separate occasions - an epic 50km event.

The Mablethorpe Half began at Monks Dyke Tennyson College, where Hilary is a teacher.

She clocked a time of 1.59:54 for yet another sub-two hour half marathon.

To celebrate Hilary nipped over to Louth where the cross-country season has started, and joined fellow Skegness & District runners to complete her 61st race.

The question now is how many races will Hilary complete before her birthday in December?
