Bank Holiday bonanza for stock car race fans at Skegness

Stock car racing for all of the family returns to Skegness Stadium this Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday at 1pm.

Sunday features the Rookie Bangers Best in Britain Championship and, with really good grids of cars, the action will be non-stop all around the circuit. Rookies have not raced at Skeggy for several weeks, so they will be up for the challenge of winning the big trophy.

Non-contact racing is provided by MD Hot Rods and GT Hot Rods when the width of the door handles are often the only thing separating the cars.

1300 Saloons are back at Skeggy after racing successfully at other circuits. This is a contact formula in which the bumper is used to remove the opposition.

Guest formulas both days will be the V8 Stock Cars and Sprint cars. Both classes are big, noisy and powerful, with contact definitely encouraged. Joining them on Bank Holiday Monday will be the popular Brisca F2 Stock Cars.

Junior Rods for 11 to 15-year-olds will finish off the afternoon’s racing.

Ash and Vandal from the Two Brothers motorbike team will also be performing daredevil stunts on track on Monday.

Racing starts at 1pm sharp, turnstiles open at 12 noon.

Gate price is £14 Adults, £6 Juniors, £12 Seniors, 12-and-under free.
