Grasstrack racing returns to the Wainfleet and District Sporting Motorcycle Club this weekend.
Local-area talent will be on show - along with riders from as far afield as Kent and Newcastle - once again as the Irby in the Marsh circuit opens its doors for the first time this year on Sunday.
The adult classes include 500cc, 350cc and 250cc solos, plus the awesome 1,000cc sidecars.
Spilsby’s Michael Faulkner (pictured) and Skegness veteran Ray Woulds will compete in the 500cc solos, up against Sleaford brothers Ben and Jamie Fen-Smith, ex-Boston Barracudas speedway star Dean Garrod and last year’s club champion, Cheshire’s Daniel Winterton.
In the 250cc section, ex-British champion David Knowles (York) and another former Cuda Ricky Scarboro (Wragby) will be aiming for success.
Other riders in this event include Andy Mellish (Manchester), John Smart (Newark), Steven Taylor (Cheshire), Danny Boyle (Staffordshire) and Jed Collins (Northamptonshire).
In the 1,000cc sidecars, the 12 top teams include three former British Masters champions.
Among them is local favourite Colin Blackbourn, from Friskney.
He and passenger Carl Pugh will be up against International Poacher Champion Rob Bradley (York), who is joined by Wrangle-based passenger Shaun Simpson.
Also in the line-up will be former Masters winner Paul Whitelam (Nottingham) and his son Paul jnr.
The meeting will also showcase youth riders aged from six to 16.
Racing starts at 1.30pm on Sunday, with practice beginning at noon.
Admission costs £12 (£10 OAPs, £5 child 12-16, under 12 free).
