Bunty Blanshard is enjoying a good year on the water.
The rower, who attends Spilsby’s King Edward VI Academy, claimed four victories and two course records at the Peterborough Regatta.
Last Saturday, over the 1k distance, she won her single race and also crossed the finish line first as part of the wj15x4+ quad.
The following day, which was 500m racing, she added victory and a course record in her single event.
Bunty then claimed her second course record as part of the victorious wj15 quad.
The 14-year-old’s successes don’t end there.
In July she competed in the British Junior Championships at Strathclyde Country Park, Glasgow.
Bunty, a Boston Rowing Club member, left with the silver medal, just two seconds off gold and 10 seconds ahead of bronze.
The format was a 1,500m time trial, followed by a 2k semi-final and a 2k final.
July also saw her win her single race at the St Neots Regatta.
Next month Bunty will take her place on the Youth Sport Trust Talent Inspiration Programme, which is being held in Manchester, and also goes for glory at the Cambridge Autumn Regatta.
