Skegness will have its first SBR Triathlon event on Sunday.
Based at Richmond Holiday Park, the event will consist of 16 lengths of the swimming pool (400m), a 19km bike and 5km run.
Rich Vincent, head coach of Skegness Triathlon Club said: “Skegness Triathlon Club was formed in January 2013 with a handful of people who wanted to give triathlon a go”.
Entries for competitors ceased on Tuesday, May 5, however you don’t have to race to participate in this event and organisers are keen to enlist volunteers to create a safe environment for athletes to compete and also have a lot of fun helping and being part of something really appreciated by the athletes from 7am-1pm.
If you can assist by helping out, call Amanda at SBR Events on 07850 572838.
Organisers ask that cars park at William Way and walk into Richmond Holiday Park.
The event take place from 8am-1pm.

Start time and de-brief is 7am-7.15am, registration is 7.15am with competitors on the course at 7.45am.
Volunteers will each receive a ‘goody bag’ with snacks, water and a voucher to a future SBR event, as well as a free breakfast and discounted hot drinks.
