Six members of Skegness Tri Club ended the triathlon season with a sprint distance event at Southwell.

The competition covered a 400m pool swim, followed by an 11-mile undulating bike leg.

And as if that wasn’t energy-sapping enough, it concluded with a three-mile run, complete with a challenging hill start.

Results: Pete Nicholls 1:02:14, Lee St Quinton 1:03:21, Matt Wain 1:03:46, Michael Irving 1:05:42, Claire Draper 1:11:15, David Johnson 1:12:17

Two other club members took part in teams to complete the Equinox24 challenge.

The event is based at Belvoir Castle and it is a 24-hour race against the clock.

Each team member runs a 10k mixed terrain lap around the castle grounds and, after each lap, they tag in the next member of their team.

Tri club members Mark Wheeler and Chris Reader took part in the event which is mentally and physically challenging.

Mark completed four 10k laps and Chris completed five circuits.

Three members of Skegness Tri Club successfully completed the East Coast Classic 10k race.

The race starts at Mablethorpe lifeboat station and the route continues to Sandilands, where runners turn round and head back to the finish line.

Ideal weather conditions meant fast times.

Results: Ashley Epton 48:22, Hilary Depper 53:12, Tanya Allsopp 1:04:41.
