Three Skegness and District Running Club members took part in half marathon action on Sunday.
Jayne Wallis continued to prepare for her eighth consecutive London Marathon by posting a respectable time of 2 hrs 09 mins at Stanwick Lakes in Northamptonshire.
Although a little disappointed with her time, Jayne was pleased to complete the very wet course after struggling with an old injury from five miles in.
Jayne was joined at the event by sons George and Edd Wallis.
The Retford Half Marathon was undertaken by Spilsby’s Bob and Kerry Green.
Hosted by Retford Athletic Club, the predominantly flat course started and finished at Retford Oaks School.
Bob and Kerry crossed the line in 1 hr 55 mins 06 secs and 2 hrs 03 mins 08 secs respectively, taking it steady in the build-up to full marathon distance at Liverpool towards the end of May.
Skegness and District Running Club hold training evenings on Tuesdays at 6.30pm from the New Life Centre, Church Street, Spilsby, Thursdays at 7pm from Princess Royal Sports Arena, Boston and Fridays at 6.30pm from The Crown Hotel, Drummond Road, Skegness.
