A TABLE tennis prodigy from Skegness swept the board at a national tournament recently.
Tom Jarvis, 12, picked up no fewer than three gold medals at the Grand Prix Table Tennis Tournament in Grantham after wining all of his events and playing 20 matches.
Tom, who is also a member of England’s international youth squad, is a pupil at Skegness Grammar School.
He and the other school players recently came second in the under 16 East Midlands regional final at the National School Team contest.
The grammar school’s table tennis club receives coaching from Mrs Peebles. The club welcomes all primary school children. Training sessions run at the Skegness Grammar School sports hall every Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm.
“You are all welcome to join - perhaps the next champion will be you,” said a spokesperson.
