Five members of Skegness Triathlon Club travelled to Southwell, near Newark, for their first tri of the season.
It was a sprint distance event, starting with a 400m swim in the leisure centre pool, followed by a quick transition and onto the bike leg for a tough hilly course on main roads, totalling more than 17km.
A second transition and quick change into running shoes to end the event with a 5k undulating run followed.
The event was very well organised and marshalled.
Results: Michael Irving 1:01-07 PB, Russell Parker 1:03-32, Matt Wain 1:03-52, David Johnson 1:09-06 PB, Claire Draper 1:11-41 PB.
The weather on Sunday made for perfect running conditions for four other members of Skeg Tri club to take part in the City of Lincoln 10k road race.
There was fabulous support from the crowd over the whole course, which lead to a spectacular finish at the cathedral.
Finish times: Lee St Quinton 41-42, Ashley Epton 42-57, Pete Nicholls 43-29, Melanie Wheeler 52-36.
