Skegness Amateur Swimming Club took part in the final round of the Lincolnshire ASA Junior League competition at Spalding recently, where they competed against Grantham, Lincoln Vulcans and South Lincs swimming clubs.
The 15 swimmers representing Skegness achieved 33 personal best times showing a vast improvement on the previous round.
“The Junior League is the first external league competition entered by the club and if the rate of improvement shown by the swimmers continues we are sure to improve our standing in the League next year,” said a spokesperson for the club.
“In addition to the junior league the club also enters swimmers in external open meets which have resulted in a number of our swimmers gaining medals in their relevant age groups.
“The club also holds an internal Pointscore competition every two months where swimmers compete against their own personal best times, gaining points for improvements and also valuable experience competing under competition conditions,” they added.
The club is currently looking for new members from age six up to masters.
