Two Skegness running clubs enjoyed success all round when both took part in the Lincoln 10K event last Sunday.
More than 6,000 people ran the race and more than 5,000 were said to have taken part in the main road race - many raising thousands for charity in the process.
The Savona Striders, Skegness’s newest running club, took part, with many managing to achieve a personal best on the day. Some of them were taking part for the first time.
“It was a fantastic day, I’m so impressed with everyone who took part from The Savona Striders, they did so well and I’m really proud,” said Carol Silverwood, founder of the club.
The Skegness Coasters also enjoyed good weather on Sunday, with 19 members competing in the race. Again it was the first 10k for some in the group.
The Coasters’ managed to accrue 12 personal best times and Lady Coaster Fiona Fisher set a new ladies’ club record.
