There were only three games in the Sid Dennis and Sons division one this week due to the postponement of the Liberal Adams Family and Seaview Raiders game.

Ex-Service Cobras took on the high flying WMC Steelers, and it was the Steelers who took the spoils, 11-one. Cobras’ league veteran S Corsen took their only leg,

Steelers had 21 high scores in this game through M Thompson (132, 135, 2x140, 180 and 120 finish), C Abbiss (123, 137, 3x140 and 180), S Wilson (121, 2x125), and K Thein (123, 135, 3x140).

Ex Service 501s travelled to the Wainfleet Outsiders. In a game where there were four maximums it was the Outsiders who ran out 9-3 victors despite the 501s’ home guard of D Manson and P Hough taking the final doubles.

High scorers foe the outsiders were M Bell (139, 140), R Garner (180), S Drury (180), A Pinner (138, 180). The 501s’ big hitters were L Dore (2x140, 180, 111 finish), and D Manson, marking his return to the league with 125, 140, 104 finish.

In the Sid Dennis and Sons division two the Ex-Service C finally got off the mark with a crushing 11-one victory over Vine.

Ex-Service’s D Carnal was a one man wrecking machine, hitting 121, 135, 140, 180.

Cricket Club entertained WMC Aces, and the Aces were initially cruising this one leading five-one after the singles. But the Cricket Club came back strongly, taking all of the doubles to run out seven-five winners despite Aces’ M Jones hitting 140, 180 and T Goodwin 2x133.

Liberal Lads crushed Welcome Hillbillies 10-two with Hillbilies’ N Stocks, and D Bell saving the whitewash by taking the last pairs. High scorers for Hillbillies were N Stocks (125, 132, 138) and A Lowis (132, 140), while Liberal had J Fernyhough (121, 125), E Hammond (121, 140), M Peech (121, 122) and I Parnaby (125, 136, 2x140).

Finnegans travelled to the Welcome to play the Anchors and inflicted a first defeat on the Anchors, coming away with a 10-two win with P Lonslow high-scoring 121, 140.

Royal Oak looked to be struggling in their game against Liberal Us, as the Liberal raced into a four-two lead after the singles.

Royal Oak then took the first two pairs to lead six-four only for the Liberal duo of M Reeson and P Johnson to claim the final pairs to end the match all square, Oak had T Parkin (2x140) while Liberal’s M Reeson (121, 125) top scored for them

In other news, the captains need to let organises know their representative to play Adrian Lewis in January. A number have not let them know and, unless they get in touch before the end of the year, they will assume you are not interested and your spot wil be allocated elsewhere.

The league will resume on January 3.
