Tony O’Shea has become the latest darts star to board the Fun Bus.
Silverback - who has reached the final of the BDO World Championships on three occasions - took in four pubs across the area, giving exhibition matches at each of the venues.
Beginning at the Seaview Pub at midday, O’Shea hit a 180 in his first three legs, also finishing on the bull in his first four legs (including two bulls in one of them).
The 45 revellers then joined O’Shea on the bus and headed for the Social Club in Wainfleet, where hot beef and a gammon joint, plus some Lincolnshire sausages, didn’t put the ace off his stride.
Following some epic walk ons by locals Nikki Chantry, John ‘JR’ Rawlins and ‘Tyke’ Shaun Drury, some history was repeated.
Last year O’Shea beat Drury with a 170 finish at Wainfleet, so it was no surprise to see him victorious again.
Next stop was the Red Lion at Burgh, where more fantastic darts were thrown.
Ryan Larthwell, backed by his army of supporters, just failed to beat O’Shea.
The final venue was the Welcome Inn and, again, the buffet didn’t affect O’Shea.
Again he played all and sundry and, with a little help, Phytos Chrysostomou managed to beat him.
Neil Huskisson and Wayne Burles also tried their luck aainst O’Shea.
The guest of honour eventually finished playing around about 9pm, following more than 50 matches.
Organiser Chris Fletcher said: “I would like to wish Tony O’Shea all the luck in the Worlds, starting in January.
“I know he would be one of the most popular winners.
“He offered a lot of memorable moments on a busy and entertaining day.”
