Gareth Short, School Games Project Officer at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, said: “It was a fantastic day of sporting competition.

“The buzz and excitement around the whole event was amazing and along with visits from Olympian, Bryan Steele and Paralympian, Alistair Patrick Heselton, it really was day to celebrate the legacy of the London 2012 Olympics.

“All credit to the athletes involved when they were performing and congratulations to the East Lindsey Schools who excelled in their events.”

With support from the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership and the School Sports Partnerships of Lincolnshire, this nationwide celebration of sport saw 116 primary, secondary and special school teams involved as part of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Legacy.

A variety of sports took place throughout the day including Athletics, Boccia, Cycling, Goalball, Golf, Rounders, Swimming, Tennis and Volleyball.
