The second of two evening 10K road races in the Lincolnshire Wolds, hosted by Skegness & District Running Club, saw a new record number of 77 runners from across the county take part.
Ten different clubs were represented, along with the 13 unattached runners, there was even a runner from Australia taking part.
The rain stayed away for the runners to tackle the scenic challenging hills around Old Bolingbroke.
The winner in a time of 36 mins 54 secs was Martin Waite from Newark AC.
Stuart Cragg, from the Skegness club, was the runner-up in a time of 37 mins 52 secs and third went to Paul Jackson from Louth AC in a time of 38 mins 52 secs.
The first unattached runner home was Kevin Garrick in 39 min 12 secs.
This was the second Bolingbroke Breaker 10K hosted by Skegness & District Running Club.
“We host two races, one in May and one in July”, said Andy Shelton, who devised the race.
“It is always well signed (and has) plenty of marshalls and a drinks station.
“We hold the races each year and we manage to get more runners attending each time, which is great to see.”
All runners who completed the course and were awarded with a well-earned chocolate bar at the end.
