The Newbridge Tack & Feeds Show in Wainfleet was such a success that organisers plan to make it an annual event.

With nearly 100 competitors, trade stands and demonstrations, the Newbridge team at times struggled to keep up with demand for entries.

There were an unbelievable 19 entrants in the 2ft 3in Jumping and an exciting Chase me Charlie, with the winning entrant being Josephine Wheatly Johnson whose horse Teddy jumped over 1m 25cm.

The Ridden and Inhand Showing Class were just as competitive with Ridden Champion being Kirsty Snelling and Reserve being seven-year-old Caleb Rhodes. There were qualifiers for the National Championships in many classes.

“None of it could have been possible without an amazing set of professional friendly staff, supportive local and international sponsors, and judges,” said a spokesperson.

All classes had rosettes to sixth place. There were sashes to all winners and engraved glasses, alongside the prizes for first to third, which ranged from treats to beer and brushes to Jodhpur boots!

The next event will be a dog show on September 15.
