Medals galore for club’s swimmers

Members of Skegness Amateur Swimming Club have been collecting medals and trophies at a number of events.

Casey Wain, Clara Moorland, Temira Miles won medals at the Rookie Life Guard Gala in Skegness.

Temira also competed along with Ben White, Thomas Webster and Luke Thomas at the Secondary Schools Gala in Grantham, where all appeared on the medals board.

Alex Parker and his sister Lucy teamed up to take part and won the Legbourne Primary Schools Gala in the Pupil and Sibling race as well as Lucy taking the year five and six trophy.

Medals were also taken at the Lincoln Vulcans meet in Grantham by Alex Parker, Isaac Banham and Aiden Hawdon.

Alex went to swim at Derby and achieved a gold and two silvers.

Isaac Banham, Sienna England White, Jack Hurdman and Aiden Hawdon returned from a meet in Hull after taking places on the podium.

The final competition of the season was at Luton in a 50m pool.

Alex Parker, Lucy Parker and Isaac Banham competed for the club, with Isaac taking a silver in the 200m freestyle and a bronze in the 50m fly.

Lucy overcame nerves and took the 200m individual medley bronze.
