One of the best days on the racing calendar to feature all that’s good about Skeggy Stadium is coming up on Sunday.

The venue’s carnival day will feature slingshot monster truck car crushing and bangers and hot rods racing.

For the fourth year in a row there will be representatives from the emergency services in a racing challenge using Stoxkarts,

The ambulance team, who are current champions, will be looking to retain the annual trophy sponsored by Hildreds Shopping Centre.

The lifeboat team have won on two previous occasions.

The afternoon starts at 12.40pm with a parade including emergency vehicles, race cars and youngsters in fancy dress.

Racing continues during the afternoon and finishes with a Bangers and Caravans Destruction Derby promising absolute mayhem everywhere on track.

It is recommended that audiences buy tickets in advance.

Gate prices are £14 adult, £12 senior, £6 juniors (13-15), 12 years and under no charge. (not including Brisca F1 events)
