Skegness & District Running Club claimed the relay title during Sunday’s Seabank Marathon.
The men’s team of Andy Shelton, Alan Wheeler, Stuart Cragg, Pete Pocklington, Chris Halligan and John Burton (pictured) finished the course just after overall winner Mark Sands.
The ladies of Skegness & District were the first all-female team to cross the line as well, finishing sixth overall.
The hat-trick was completed with Paddy the spaniel belonging to the club’s Clif Abbott becoming the first dog home.
The weather was kind for the marathon although the wind was very strong in places.
“We have had a fabulous day today,” said Helena Shelton, who was part of the winning Skegness & District ladies’ team.
“It all went very smoothly.”
Skegness & District Running Club welcome all abilities from beginners upwards to any of their training nights in Skegness, Spilsby and Boston.
