Congratulations go to WMC Steelers and Liberal Lads on winning their respective leagues,

With all the Sid Dennis and Sons Ltd Division One fixtures now complete, Wainfleet Outsiders are runners up.

Mark Thompson of the Steelers picked up the high finish with 158, while the newly promoted teams from Division Two last year Liberal Adams Family and Seaview Raiders are relegated with Seaview being wooden spoonists.

With a week to go in the Sid Dennis and Sons Ltd Division Two, Liberal lads are champions, and Finnigans runners up.

Welcome Anchors Scott Dore is at present in line for the Division Two high finish with 127.

This week sees the Division One 15 darts challenge at the Seaview, with Mixed Doubles, Triples, Doubles, Singles, and finals night.

Presentation night this year is on June 6, at WMC and sees ‘the rocket’, Ronnie Baxter taking on 20 league players and presenting the trophies.

With five spots up for grabs on the night for league players to play him, league organisers say, it’s worth bringing your darts on the night. MC John Fowler will again be keeping things in order.

The league are also running a summer darts league, again to be held on Friday nights, with only four players needed to field a team.

This league is open to both men and ladies, with a unique format of eight singles and two doubles.

A meeting is arranged at the WMC in the Childrens room on Friday, April 25 at 7.30pm and all interested teams are urged to attend. The Entry fee is £30 per team.

There is also a number of huge events lined up for the summer season, with Peter Manley coming to the Liberal Club and the Ex Service club have both, ‘Hawaii 501’ Wayne Mardle and ‘The Hammer’, Andy Hamilton on the same night.

John Fowler is the MC for the night and both these events are due to take place in September.

The league are also hoping to bring ‘Mile High’, Mark Hylton to the Liberal Club date in June.
