In the Sid Dennis and Sons Ltd Division One the early pace setters Ex Service 501s took on five-man Barkham arms.
The Ex Service 501s led from pillar to post to record an 11-1 win to retain top spot with captain Chris Fletcher hitting 3 x 140 and an 18 dart leg, Gary Garton also chipped in with 121, 125 and 140.
Stablemates Ex service Sports took on Arctic Shrew Monkeys and a tight affair followed.
Sharing the singles 3-3, it was game on in the doubles as the Shrew Monkeys took the first one to lead 5-3.
However, Sports hit back, levelling the match at 5-5, making a last pair shoot-out, It was Brad Martin and Pete ‘Ted’ Evans that held their nerve to record an important victory for the Sports.
Graham Froud hit 125, 180 and Pete hit 121, 135 and 140 for the sports, while Shrew Monkeys had Dave Tuplin 137, 38, 140, Andy Pinner 125, 140, and Shaun Drury 120, 140, on target, a result that leaves Shrew Monkeys bottom.
Seaview Lads continued their good start to the season with a 9-3 win over Ex Service Cobras.
Mark Carter hit a maximum and a 140.
