The Ladborke Darts League’s latest season is just weeks away.

It all kicks off on Friday, November 1 with an exhibition at the Liberal Club in Skegness involving 1988 world champion. Bob Anderson.

Starting at 8pm, Bob will play 20 players, 10 of whom will be drawn on the night.

All league players are eligible to enter the draw. Amongst the local talent to play will be Cutis Redford, Ken Wilson, Carl Abbiss, Pete Evans, Tony Smith, Mick Peech, and singles champion Martin Bell. Martin will play in a ‘best of three’ clash, with all the other games being a one-leg 501.

The K/O preliminary will take place the week after on November 8. Ex-Service 501s will take on Cricket Club, while Vine will compete against Liberal US.

The fixture books are now being printed and will be available early next week.

Elsewhere, the Interleague draw has taken place, and there’s a poor turn out in the Butlin cup with only four teams entering.

However there are nine teams in the Mackenzie, with some leagues entering two or three teams, and one league entering two in the Mackenzie and none in the Butlin.

The league’s Butlin team play the first leg of the semi final on Valentines night, while the Mackenzie toe the oche in November. Ian Chamberlain will again run the Butlin side from the WMC, while Lee Yates will run the Mackenzie from the Ex-Service.
