A team of year seven and eight King Edward VI Academy students from Spilsby travelled to Skegness to take part in the Aviva Indoor Athletics Competition against other local schools recently.

This unique event allowed students to compete against each other across a range of different events in both the track and field categories.

Mr Irving, subject leader for physical education at King Edward Academy, said: “It was great to see so many students taking part and competing against several other schools in a wide variety of athletic events.

“The students of King Edward academy thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

“Overall the event was a huge success and it highlighted to our students the excitement and benefits you can achieve from competitive sport.
