Skegness Tri Club’s Pete Nicholls, Ashley Epton and Michael Irving took part in the Friskney Half Marathon.
The event is organised annually by Boston and District AC and attracts a field of around 200 runners.
The route is a one lap course through quiet Lincolnshire country roads and farmland.
Ideal weather conditions and plenty of winter training enabled some personal best times for that distance.
Results: Pete Nicholls 1 hr 40 mins, Ashley Epton 1 hr 41.13 mins PB, Michael Irving 1 hr 52 45 mins PB.
Despite very cold, windy and wet weather conditions, 22 people braved the elements to take part in the first Go Tri event of the year, organised by Skegness Tri Club.
The duathlon started with a one-mile run on Gibraltar Road and, after a quick shoe change, it was onto the bikes for a six-mile ride to Seacroft Square and back.
Another swap of footwear was followed by another one-mile run to the finish.
There were plenty of supporters cheering everyone on and the event had a friendly atmosphere.
Skegness Tri club will be organising another three Go Tri events this year.
