Champions Alcoholic Shrew Monkeys ended the Barkham Arms’ hopes of claiming second spot in the William Hill Darts League’s Sid Dennis and Sons Ltd Division One.

Barkham went into the game knowing that causing a shock could put them in the frame for second, but the Monkeys won 8-2 with great arrows from Rick Garner (6x100, 112, 132, 7x140 and legs of 16, 17, 18 and 20 darts), Colin Lees (5x100, 2x121, 180 and a 15 darter), Martin Bell (8x100, 3x140, 2x17 dart singles legs and a 21-dart pairs leg with David Tuplin), David Tuplin (121, 140, 180, 124 finish and a 19 darter).
