Skegness & District Running Club member Colin Chambers won the East Coast Classic 10K, held in glorious sunshine along the seafront at Mablethorpe.
Following on from his success in the Northampton Half Marathon, Colin claimed the Vet 70 first place with a time of just under 48 minutes.
Colin regained his enjoyment for running with the help of Skegness & District Running Club and is an enthusiastic member joining the Thursday training nights at the Peter Paine Centre in Boston on most weeks.
It has been a very successful period for the Black and Orange of Skegness & District with more than 20 runners taking part at Mablethorpe and runners also taking to the roads around Newcastle for the Great North Run, which saw Paul Sleaford run a time of 1 hour 51 mins for the half marathon.
Roberto Rocci, raising money for the Rainbow Trust Charity, ran a time of 2 hours 13 mins.
