SKEGNESS motor-racing ace Sarah Budby rubbed shoulders with some famous faces at a celebrity charity kart race in Birmingham last week.
Sarah was put into Team Japspeed which featured professional drifters.
The team raced to raise money for injured soldiers.
Sarah competed against some of the best drivers in the country, including those who race in BTCC, WTCC, Ferraris and lots more.
Sarah said: “The race was just mental. Obviously racing against British Touring car drivers meant it was not going to be clean racing - but what great fun it was!”
Overall there were 21 teams of six drivers at the event, all raising money for charity.
Team Japspeed finished 18th after getting mixed up in some bother, but the team had good fun and that’s what the event was about.
Sarah added: “I’d like to say thank you to my sponsors Toto’s, Ye old Burgh Inn and Carexwebs for helping me raise £300 for this amazing cause and giving me the opportunity to race against these amazing drivers.”
Sarah will be competing in the event again next year. Keep up to date with Sarah’s racing at www.sarahbudby.co.uk.
