Bowls enthusiasts from across the country made their way to Skegness as Magna Vitae hosted the annual English Bowling Federation Bowls Tournament.

The competition, which took place at Skegness North Greens on North Parade, saw players from around the country come together to take part in this highly anticipated tournament.

The event was broken down into separate categories which covered open singles, open pairs, mixed pairs and open rinks of three.

There were a mixture of local players taking part with entries from Nottinghamshire, Norfolk, Leicestershire, Cambridgeshire and Derbyshire.

The tournament, which was sponsored by the Skegness East Coast and Wolds Hospitality Association (SECWHA), was followed by a presentation which saw the winners and runners-up presented with their awards by the Mayor of Skegness Councillor Edginton and Chairman of SECWHA Bill Hutchinson.

Winners and runners-up: Mixed Pairs: Winners – Mr and Mrs Adams, Hucknall, Runners Up - Ms Patten, Mansfield and Mr Pytlakowski, Edwinstowe; Open Singles: Winner - Mr Bannister, Helpringham, Runner Up - Mr Adams, Hucknall; Open Pairs: Winners – Mr Pytlakowski, Edwinstowe and Mr Shepperson, Shirland, Runners Up – Mr and Mrs Adams, Hucknall; Open Rinks of Three: Winners – Mr Bannister, Mrs Bannister, Helpringham and Mr Hudson Billinghay, Runners Up - Mr Walker, Mrs Walker, Sutton in Ashfield and Mr Lound, Sutton in Ashfield.
