Lincolnshire race ace Peter Hickman was recognised at the BMW Motorrad rider awards ceremony in Munich.
This year’s Macau GP winner received the trophy for 15th place in the worldwide BMW Motorrad racing awards for his two wins and three podiums in his road races in 2015.
Hicky, from Willoughby, explained: “It was an all-expenses paid trip to Munich for the ceremony where racers from all over the world using BMW machinery are awarded points for their performance throughout the year in their respective championships.
“My award was for my results at the Ulster GP and Macau, where my points took me up to 15th place.
“This was a really nice way to end my time with BMW and I have to thank Lee Hardy Racing, the RAF Reserves team and all my sponsors for their support this year, I couldn’t have done it without you guys.”
