The conditions were perfect on Sunday for the Skegness Coasters’ participation in the Market Rasen 10k race.
A dozen Coasters joined around 400 other runners to compete in this challenging run, which starts and finishes on the Market Rasen race course.
The route takes in an out and back stretch of mildly undulating road and a loop through the picturesque Willingham Woods.
There were several personal best times gained. Paul Whitfield knocked nearly eight minutes off his previous best 10k time, and David Freeman knocked just over five minutes off his.
Newcomer Kelly Blease has only been a member of the club for five weeks, having never run before and proudly completed the race in 64:19.
Fiona Fisher and Michael Hawkesford were once again first female and male Coasters home, both achieving personal bests too.
The race is a popular, well established and well organised event, with an impressive medal for all finishers.
Full results were - Fiona Fisher 46.45 PB (personal best); Michael Hawkesford 48:21 PB; Pete Pocklington 48:32; David Freeman 51.13 PB; Paul Whitfield 50:40 PB; Julie Hawkesford 53.45; Jackie Rhodes 54:51; Sharon Wilson-Leary 56.43 PB; Kelly Blease 64:19 PB; Helena Shelton 64:27; Barbara Odling 72:04; Joanne Dembrey 72:34 PB.
