A WORKSHOP aiming to inspire dedicated members of the community to help others by getting involved with sport takes place in Skegness tomorrow.
The Lincolnshire Sports Partnership will be informing visitors to Wainfleet Road Pavilion, Skegness, about what becoming a Sport Maker entails.
Workforce development manager Lizzie Couling said: “The Sport Maker project is an excellent opportunity for people who are thinking about volunteering and helping others, to do this within a sporting environment.
“You can learn new skills, enhance your CV, build up confidence and give something back to sport or the local community.
“There are lots of roles a Sport Maker may take on - a number of organisations have registered events they need help at.”
The Sport Makers programme aims to recruit more than 500 new sports volunteers in Lincolnshire in the run-up to the London 2012 Games and beyond.
The workshop runs from 6.30pm to 9.30pm and is open to anyone aged 16 and older.
