Ladbrokes darts league Skegness

In the Sid Dennis and Sons Ltd Division One there were several big wins this week.

Barkham Arms won 11-1 over Ex Service Sports.

There was a three ton plus finish for Barkham in this one, B Grenfell started it with 126 in the first game, S Kirkham chipped in with 100, and A Hulley got in on the act with 120 in his doubles game. B Martin responded for the Sports with a 180 and 17 dart leg, winning their only game.

WMC Steelers had a comfortable 9-3 win over Ex Service Cobras, Steelers’ M Thompson 180, and Cobras R Parnham 171.

Ex Service 501s went down 3-9 to Wainfleet Outsiders, with 501s C Parnham going out in 18 darts and in the basement battle at the Seaview it was Liberal Adams Family who have the bragging rights, winning eight four, though both teams look doomed.

In the Sid Dennis and Sons Ltd Division Two, Liberal lads remain top of the table.

They crushed WMC Aces 11-1, with aces G Jowett getting their only success in the singles, Finnegans remain hot on their heels in second spot, a point away after a narrow 7-5 win over Ex Service C, completing a miserable night for the Ex Servicem, as all their teams lost that night,

P Lonslow hit 171 for Finnegans, Royal Oak beat Cricket Club 10-2, Vine trailed Liberal Us 5-1 after the singles and looked in need of a miracle, and found one as they took all the doubles to run out 7-5 winners, with R Broom hitting 180 on the way.

Finally an in house derby at the Welcome saw Anchors play host to Hillbillies and it was the Anchor who got the win 8-4 with W Burles checking out on 105.

There are a few outstanding games in Division One and the committee have decided to cancel the teams 15 dart challenge on March 28, to enable all games to be played then.

Steelers play Seaview, Cobras take on 501s, and Outsiders face Sports. Captains are asked to note, these games must be played on that date

Finally, there is a darts Knock out, organised at the Marine Boathouse on Saturday March 29, £5 entry with first drink Free,

All monies taken are to be paid out in prize money, so the league forecast a good day.
